1000Pentesters for Africa is not your average online course — it’s a high-impact, real-world training and internship program designed for South Africa’s most promising young talent. This is a hands-on, immersive experience where selected candidates gain globally recognized certifications, work on live projects, and train alongside industry professionals defending real digital infrastructure.

Due to the intensive nature of the program, entry is by invitation or referral, followed by a rigorous selection process that includes interviews, technical assessments, and practical assignments. We’re looking for individuals who have already shown interest or aptitude in IT, cybersecurity, or adjacent fields — such as service desk roles, junior development, or tech support.

Referral or Expression of Interest

Candidates are referred through our partner networks or may reach out directly if they meet the baseline criteria.

Submit Your CV & Qualifications

You’ll send us your updated CV and any relevant certifications or academic records for review.

Motivation Letter & Intro Video

Share a short letter (max 300 words) and a 1–2 minute video introducing yourself, your interest in cybersecurity, and why you believe you're a good fit for the programme.

Initial Interview with Recruitment

A conversation to explore your background, motivation,
and program fit.

Technical Interview & Assignment

Our technical team will assess your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities through a practical project.

Final Interview & Project Presentation

You’ll present your completed project and walk us through your approach, thought process, and solution.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the program, you should meet the following criteria:
  • Age between 18 and 30 years old
  • Completed an IT qualification or course
  • Background in software development or communications networks is advantageous
  • A strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Able to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
  • Good communication skills — written and verbal
  • Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity and a clear willingness to learn
